The Guesthouse

Experience life in the French countryside…..
It might have started life as a barn but now transformed into a luxury home that comfortably accommodates up to six people. Located in the rear garden with incredible views of the Château, gardens and surrounding countryside, you will fall in love with the Guesthouse. With exposed beams and original features mixed with comfortable furnishings, you will find everything you need to make your stay memorable. It's the perfect destination for a family holiday, getaway with friends or a secluded escape.
Accommodation consists of a spacious living/dining area with books, games, and music for days when you just want to chill out. The large kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to whip up a simple or gourmet meal with full-size fridge, oven, hotplates, microwave, dishwasher and Nespresso machine (coffee capsules provided). The pantry is stocked with some basic supplies and on arrival, you’ll find a basket of local and homemade goodies to enjoy during your stay. Produce is also available from the château Potager. But if you don't feel like cooking you can also order from the château kitchen daily menu or arrange for a private chef to cook dinner.
The three bedrooms are generously proportioned with king size beds and European linen. All have en-suites - one with a bath. Linen, toiletries, towels, robes, and hairdryers are provided and beds are made up prior to your arrival. Wake up each morning to the sound of the birds singing and the occasional cow grumbling if the farmer is late with their morning hay.
Guests, however, won’t have anything to grumble about as a daily breakfast basket is provided with fresh pastries/baguette, juice, homemade preserves, homemade granola, fresh fruit, milk, and yoghurt.
In the walled garden you will find a pool, BBQ and outdoor entertaining area. Try your hand at croquet, giant chess, boules, explore the chateau grounds or find a relaxing spot to while away the hours. Take a stroll through the gardens and leafy woods.
Outside the château gates there are plenty of picturesque villages to explore, Roman ruins to discover and local markets where you can stock up on local produce and brocante items. With Normandy and Brittany on the doorstep you can visit Mont St Michel, Saint Malo or the Normandy beaches. Aussie owner, Suzie, is always happy to help you with advice on where to do and what to do during your holiday and share all her local knowledge having lived in France for many years.
However, you choose to spend your time your stay will be one you won't ever forget.
